Negativity… Hypnotherapy
Negativity of the mind leads to negative behaviour and an unhealthy life.
Our formative years, i.e., typically, birth to late teens has a decisive influence on our mental and physical development.
A child who experiences positive nurturing will possess a positive self-belief and a balanced attitude towards life.
An infant exposed to an environment that does not offer stability, love or security will perceive that he or she is undeserving of any affection, have no self-believe or confidence and that he or she is basically, worthless. In later life, adults may find it difficult to socialise and form lasting relationships, to lead solitary lives and perhaps never realise their full potential. In severe cases, a person will develop a self-hate; this in turn can lead to self harm.
‘Type A’ personalities display negative behaviour – individuals have a chronic sense of urgency, an excessively competitive attitude and are very aggressive and hostile towards others. They will be obsessive about deadlines, always be in a hurry, have no patience and find it impossible to wait for anything. This behaviour is based on insecurity, and a need to be admired by their peers to bolster self-esteem.
The Type A is more likely to be prone to high blood pressure.
Hypertension is a very common ailment – in stressful situations the heart rate increases and blood pressure rises.
Clinical hypnosis encourages a person to be more relaxed by offering self-help techniques. These exercises promote a feeling of wellbeing and allow the client to feel more in control of their body and to mentally reduce the pressure in the vascular system.
Although clients with negative thoughts share similar personality traits I believe that every individual has their own particular needs so I tailor my sessions accordingly.
